Point A Hotels & Ballie Ballerson // AD

24 Feb 2019

A couple of weekends a go I had the pleasure of staying at one of the Point A Hotels which are dotted all around London. The one I stayed in was nestled inside the centre of Shoreditch, the perfect location for the hip, stylish and creative minds. If you have never heard of Point A Hotels, here's a quick low down:

~Point A Hotels is a family of hotels that are modern and characterful. At Point A Hotels they believe that it is important to be able to unwind and feel at home when you stay at one of their hotels. With hospitality and being accessible at the forefront of their ideology they can offer a great stay at great value. No matter who you are, your background or where you come from, Point A Hotels makes it their mission to make you feel welcomed.

Feel free to visit the Shoreditch website for more details: CLICK HERE

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the team at Point A who were quick to accommodate me, the lobby was spacious, modern and creative with a huge Shoreditch mural on the wall as you enter the building.

Once handed our room key we heading upstairs via the elevator. The doors all have modern security access with your card being your key that buzzes to unlock. Once in the room we were greeted with mood lighting and views of London. Unfortunately, our view wasn't exactly ideal. As you can guess London is a constant hub of activity, which also includes, construction work. So, our views we're of builders and scaffolding...Nonetheless, it didn't take away from the fact that our room was delightfully cosy, clean and felt futuristic with the large mirrors, HD Smart TV, mood lighting and glass panel bathroom doors.

I was quick to make myself at home, setting the lighting to a warm yellow to replicate the sunshine since it was a pretty grey day outside. Plonked myself onto the extremely comfortable hypnos beds and got straight to work before heading out to one of Point A's partners, Ballie Ballerson! (more on this later)

The Room

So, you're probably wondering what you can expect to come included in your room?

  • Free Wi-fi
  • Hyponos beds
  • Power showers
  • A safe (which came in super handy for my laptop and camera whilst we was out at the ball pits!)
  • HD Smart TV
  • Air Con
  • Mood lighting

To say that this hotel was one of the more unique stays I've had would be an understatement. As previously mentioned Point A Hotels have partnered with many different brands/companies to ensure they can offer you a great stay as well as great entertainment. Some of these partners include, Ballie Ballerson. A adult ball pit AND cocktail bar that boasts retro sweet inspired cocktails, great food, throwback tunes all for the reduced price of £5 when you stay at Point A Hotels.

McQueen, an award winning cocktail Lounge Bar that is a less than 5 minute walk from the Shoreditch hotel. A quirky, themed bar on the actor Steve McQueen this venue includes suave cocktails, restaurant and a nightclub. If you're looking for a ~cool~ hotspot, then this is it.

Not to mention the rest:

After a long night of cocktails and ball pits we headed back for a good nights sleep and woke bright and early for breakfast.

The Brekkie

Breakfast is served between 6:30am - 10:30am Mon - Fri and 7:00am - 11:00am on the weekends.
Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Point A's breakfast is extremely fresh and light so you can start your day the right way.

An assortment of freshly baked pastries; croissants, cinnamon swirls, cheese and bacon twist (which are delicious!!) Plus, you can create-your-own porridge bowls with an abundance of different yoghurts (I went for the banana and maple syrup which was gorgeous!) A selection of fresh fruit and juices and a steamy hot tea or freshly ground coffee waiting for you. If you are in a hurry then don't panic, there is also a selection of grab-n-go snacks which are on offer from the hotel lobby throughout the day and the night!

All of this from just £69 a night. I have to say this was a delightful little stay and I would highly recommend Point A Hotels to anyone looking for a cheap, modern, comfortable and healthy break in London's hip east end; Shoreditch.

Lastly, I would just like to thank Point A Hotels for allowing me to stay at their hotel as a complimentary experience. Check out their socials for more information on each of their sites as well as offers and the A-List experience:
