♡ Questions Nobody Asks You // Lifestyle ♡

12 Dec 2017
Good morning lovelies.

Today's post we're getting a little up close and personal but in a slightly different way to your usual 'about me' posts. I saw this tag floating around the blogging community but more specifically from blogger Debra Bow  I loved reading this post and figured why not join in on the band wagon and let you all know a little bit more about me.

Prepare yourselves this is going to be a wordy one, grab a brew, snack or whatever you need and let's get to it!

Q1. What's your favourite candle scent?

I'm one of those people who is obsessed with seasonal scents, my absolute favourites being Cinnamon spices and fresh cotton!

Q2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister?

This is a tough one. I have many female celebs I look up to and would adore to join my family however I think, although this may be controversial, Kristen Stewart would be one kick-ass sister. With her laid back style, introverted approach to life and some pretty epic film cameo stories to talk about it would be amazing.

Q3. What male celebrity do you wish was your brother?

Honestly, this is even more difficult than the last because all the male celebs I like I inevitable fancy the hell out of so that could pose a problem...However, since I have to answer I think having Terry Cruz would be absolutely hilarious as a brother. I may not fancy him sexually but he is definitely a buff guy and could help me with my fitness techniques. Also I imagine he would be the life to any party and constantly cracking jokes.

Q4. How old do you think you'll be when you get married?

Eh, I honestly have no idea. I'm 24 now and don't see marriage in my future any time soon...However, ideally I'd like to tie the knot before I'm 30 or early thirties. Hopefully by then I'd have my own digs, a job I love and someone to share that with. Also dogs...lots of dogs.

Q5. Do you know a hoarder?

Not that I'm aware of.

Q6. Can you do the splits?

HELL NO. But I wish I could, gymnastics and flexibility is something I've always wanted to be good at.

Q7. How old were you when you first learned how to ride a bike?

Toughy. I'm not entirely sure, but was probably around the age of 6 or 7? I don't remember much of my childhood unfortunately all I know is I definitely used stabilisers until the wheels worn down!

Q8. How many oceans have you swam in?

Probably one! I'm a wanderlust soul so lets try make that at least 2 before I pop my clogs.

Q9. How many countries have you travelled to?

Ah, this question hurts my soul a little. As I mentioned above I'm severely wanderlust. I've only ever travelled around the UK and mainly South/Midlands of the UK and I've also been to Milan. I would absolutely love to travel more! Places such as Canada, Thailand, Guatemala to visit the Mayan Temples. Anywhere that resembles a Tomb Raider game I'm down!

Q10. Is anyone in your family in the Army?

Not currently, not as far as I'm aware. My dad used to be in the army and that reason is why I was born in Rinteln, Germany on a British army base. Pretty cool in my opinion, however I'm not German and don't know any German 💔

Q11. What would you name your daughter if you had one?

I've always loved the name Ivy but recently I managed to squeeze out some info from my boyfriend and what he would name his daughter if he ever had one and he said Alexa, as he thinks the nick name Lexy is cute. Which has kinda grown on me, ew. Soppy.

Q12. What would you name your son if you had one?

Ehhhhhh, I've got a few in mind but I'm not sure enough to write those day just yet..

Q13. What's the worst grade you've got on a test?

Probably an E which is so embarrassing to admit but, hey, me and Maths have never got along and I managed to pull it up to a D and that's fine with me. 😅

Q14. What was your favourite TV show as a kid?

I was absolutely obsessed with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel as a kid. Some of my favourites were (and still are) Rugrats, Agh! Real Monsters, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Powerpuff Girls, Suit Life of Zack and Cody and Adventure Time (more of an adult pick to be honest..)

Q15. What did you dress up as for Halloween when you were 8?

Erm, specific age but most likely a witch or a vampire. I was obsessed!

Q16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight book series?

Tried to, Yes and Yes. I'm slightly ashamed to say I've not managed to read one HP book fully. Am I even British?

Q17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

American accents depend on where in America. The majority of American accents I enjoy, it's basically what every major film features so it's almost impossible not to like it. However, I love my British accent even if I hate hearing my own voice played back to me...

Q18. Did your mother go to university?

No, she didn't. Back when my mum was of university age (18) she was married with her first child and travelling with my dad in the army!

Q19. Are you grandparents still married?

Yes, yes they are. They bring me faith in humanity and that love and marriage still works.

Q20. Have you ever taken Karate lessons?

If this isn't the most random question I've answered yet in my life then I'm not sure what is, however, no I haven't taken Karate lessons and I don't think I'd be very good either!

Q21. Do you know who Kermit the Frog is?

Okay, never mind this question is definitely the most random but by far the easiest to answer - YES! Who doesn't know Kermy if not from The Muppets then from the memes!

Q22. What was the first amusement park you ever went to?

Probably a small place called Brean or Butlins, they're pretty well known here in the UK but as for larger more renowned theme parks Alton Towers when my sister and her boyfriend took me for my 15th birthday.

Q23. What language other than your native language would you like to be fluent in?

Definitely French, Japanese or Korean! French is such a beautiful language whereas Japanese and Korean are so cute and fun!

Q24. Do you spell the colour 'Grey' or 'Gray'

I've always spelt the colour 'Grey' and Grey, I am British after all.

Q25. Is your father bald?

Oh my God, No! Well, he has fairly short hair so almost?

Q26. Do you know any triplets?

I know twins but never triplets, that would be pretty fun though!

Q27. Do you prefer Titanic or The Notebook?

They both are equal when it comes to which I prefer. Titanic is a classic and based on true events, also how can you not like a classic? Whereas I feel like The Notebook is a bit more of a modern love story set in olden days. Both worth a watch!

Q28. Have you ever tried Indian cuisine?

Yes I have and although it's not my favourite take-away of choice I do love a good Korma and onion bhaji!

Q29. What's the name of your favourite restaurant?

It's a toss up between Wagamama's and TGIF.

Q30. Have you ever been to Nando's?

Again, I'm British it's kinda the thing we do here...

Q31. Do you belong to any warehouse stores? (Costco etc)

Nope!

Q32. What would your parents of named you if you were born a different gender?

No idea, but they did say they liked the name Megan instead of Michaela but they decided against it.

Q34. Who's your favourite person in the world?

There really isn't just one person who is my favourite and I think it's almost impossible for anyone to have just one favourite person. I have a mixture of favourite people for a mixture of reasons. My close friends for all their quirky, hilarious qualities, my boyfriend for his caring and supportive nature, family for obvious reasons, YouTubers/Celebs for inspiration the list goes on...

Q35. Would you rather live in the countryside or the city?

I'm definitely more of a city gal at heart but a city apartment wouldn't house all 5 doggos I want in life so....

Q36. Can you whistle?

No! I feel like a weirdo when people ask me because I swear everyone can except me!

Q37. Do you sleep with a nightlight?

Nope

Q38. Do you eat breakfast every morning?

Again, nope...I mean I feel like most mornings I'm either in a rush (I like sleep too much) or I'm not hungry and just opt for coffee. Bad habits I know, don't copy me!

Q39. Do you take any pills or medication?

I do at the moment but in the future that will stop!

Q40. Do you have any medical conditions?

This is a difficult question. Physical conditions not really unless you count eczema? Mental conditions yes. I've mentioned before but I suffer with severe anxiety and mild depression. I'm not ashamed to talk about it as these things are still somewhat taboo to talk about openly however, it's something we all need to be more aware of. No one knows what others are going through.

Q41. How many times have you been to the hospital?

Eh, probably too many to mention.

Q42. Have you ever seen Finding Nemo?

Yes! And if you haven't hop to it!

Q43. Where do you buy your jeans?

Usually always Topshop! I just feel like the quality and fit is great! They're never too tight or too loose.

Q44. What's the last compliment you got?

*Cringe incoming* my boyfriend compliments me a lot, the most recent being the classic but never sick of hearing "you're beautiful"

Q45. Do you usually remember your dreams in the

morning?

Yes, usually the dreams I remember are nightmares which sucks. I don't remember that last nice dream I've had.

Q46. What flavour tea do you enjoy most?

Classic tea or green tea.

Q47. What religion will you raise your children to follow?

I don't follow or practise any religion and I won't expect my children to do the same. Of course growing up they can follow whatever they like I just won't force them to practise any. I don't believe it's right to force your children to be like you when it comes to religion or diet or sexuality. Each person is an individual and should live life exactly how they choose as long as it's not hurting themselves or others.

Q48. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?

I think about 4 or 5 pairs?!

Q49. How old was you when you found out Santa wasn't real?

This is almost bitter sweet to talk about but I think I must of been around the age of 10 or 11. I heard some noise downstairs one Christmas Eve and as any excited child would be on Christmas Eve I couldn't resist sneaking a peak at the possibility of seeing Santa. I mean, imagine being one of the only children to ever see Santa, that was my thinking anyway. Turns out it was my mum quietly placing presents under the tree which she had kept hidden all of December. To say I didn't cry would be a lie.

Q50. Finally, why do you have a blog?

It all started when I discovered YouTube and beauty bloggers from there. I came across so many new products, people and just ways of life. I found myself checking peoples blogs every day and then itching to start my own for many, many years. I never thought that I'd ever have anything interesting to say or share with the world but when you love something it just comes naturally. I love to blog because it's my own independent space, a space where whatever I say goes, kinda, my own content, my own hobbies and interests that can then be shared with thousands of other like minded people! Blogging and YouTubing is all about the communication and sharing aspect.
